Colby Machine Co. is a small brokerage working a handful of deals at a time — machinery of every processing type, placed carefully rather than listed loudly, with tool room and mold shop equipment as our home turf.

Colby Machine Co. stays small on purpose. Industrial equipment finds its next home through relationships, not volume — that is doubly true in the tool room and mold shop world where we grew up, and it holds for a molding floor or a fab shop just the same. We know which shops are quietly hunting for capacity, which are aging toward a sale, and what equipment genuinely trades for. If you want a bidding circus, hire a megaphone. If you want the deal done well and the check to clear quietly, that is the business we are in.

We broker equipment sales quietly between shops — anything on a production floor, plastics or metal — buy select machines for our own account, and appraise machinery when an owner needs numbers for a sale, a split, or a succession. When the whole shop is what is for sale, we handle the liquidation or, where the value is really the operation itself, manage the sale of the business or turnkey facility — real estate, contracts, and M&E moving together. Because the deal count stays low, each engagement gets actual attention: photographed properly, represented honestly, and offered to the specific buyers most likely to want it rather than blasted to a list.
